Spell Compendium and non-core classes

I am considering playing a non-core spell casting class. But when I went to the Spell Compendium to see what new toys they gave to the new classes, I realized that they gave the new classes no love. Is it just up to DM fiat as to what spells would be available to non-core classes from the Spell Compendium?

If you were going to assign new spells from it to the non-core classes what would you give the

beguiler?
hexblade?
war mage?
wu jen?
shujenja?
spellthief?
etc...
