D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder

Aremus: The giant would slowly lower the boulder and choke back a few tears again. "Moog sad. Chief Guh stole Moog's husband. Chief Guh stole all husbands. Moog scared of Guh's army. Moog hide here." The creature doesn't seem threatened by you at all and starts to cry rather large tears down on your head.

Legend
Still speaking the Hill Giant dialect, Aremus asked her, "Guh is big fat chief? She take husbands? Send 'em to war? Can you tell us: Where is army? How many giants?"

He realised that he may have overstepped with the last question: it was doubtful that she could count beyond her fingers. Maybe they would get lucky...

Carolina rolls her eyes and pretends to vomit.

Aremus: Moog nods in agreement. "Guh make men find food. Guh want to be fattest in history." The giant starts to count on her fingers, but seems to be no good at it. "Guh have many giants and goblins and bugbears and ogres." You notice Moog get nervous at the mention of their location. "They still at Grudd Hagg. Moog no go back. Scared."

OOC: Any giant speakers will know Grudd Hagg means river mound.

Legend
"We seem to have an army of Hill Giants, Goblins, Bugbears, and Ogres at a place called River Mound." Aremus told the others.

Then speaking giant one more time he said to Moog, "Where be Grudd Hagg? How far from here? What way?"

Finally, his kind nature got the better of him and he tired to reassure the sad Giant. "You should not be sad. You are large, very large. Your husband must be missing your largeness. We will find him and send him home."

He hoped that he wasn't lying to her.

Dren removed his boots and sat down on the riverbank, dangling his toes in the cool water. Now he understood a little why halflings were so lazy! It felt good. He took another sip from his flask as he waited for the scouting party to return from the tower.

Aremus: The process is slow and frustrating, but eventually you are able to determine where the giant's base is located. Grudd Haug is on a tributary, so you can either walk or sail there. Womford is the nearest town if the group needs supplies and is also the location in the most immediate danger.

Tranio has listened to the conversation. Though he doesn't speak Giant, the tenor of the conversation has been clear even before Aremus's translation. He hears the note of compassion in Aremus' final speech to the giant as well, and is strangely moved.

"So we head toward the army? Giants? Goblinoids?" There's a keen smile on his face. "A horde grasping for what remains of life."

Legend
After explaining the situation to the others, he asked them, "So, we can return the boat to the Grand Dame and disembark at Womford, then take the Dessarin Road north. Or we can commandeer the boat and take it up the tributary. It's more direct and with fewer distractions, but I don't know if the captain meant for us to keep his shore-boat and crew for a few days."

"Whatever it takes to rid ourselves of this blubbering whale, I'm for it!" Sympathy was never Carolina's strongest attribute. Nor was patience, and hers was wearing thin.
