D&D 5E Storm King's Thunder

Legend
Aremus pointed up the tower to the hole and whispered to Carolina, "Let's see if we can get a look inside."

He reached up on the large rock, but couldn't seem to find any good hand-holds.

OOC: Can Aremus have used Inspiring Leader to grant everyone 9 Temp HP on the boat ride over? He'll give a "We can do this!" speech.

Though Dren could be decently stealthy, the scouting party was already quite large, so the dwarven monk waited back by the boat with Ordrar, Fistan, Tranio, and Bethany.

Carolina approaches the structure with caution.

OOC: Search, perception, whatever... same deal. If she's convinced everything is clear, she'll try to figure out a way to use her acrobatics skill to get over the wall, since she's not strong enough to climb without a kit.

"Watch how you tread, Carolina," says Tranio, as he raises a pair of fingers to the sky. "Keep your eyes peeled."

OOC: Cast Guidance -- +1d4 on next skill check.

Aremus: You're words seem to greatly inspire the party. Even Otis, who can't hear a thing, found your gesturing to be top notch.

Tranio: You grant an extra 3 to the halfling's next check.

Carolina: You put on the greatest display of acrobatics the party has ever seen, managing to find every little imperfection in the tower wall. In a blink of an eye you are hidden in the remains of the attic, above and across from the grieving giant.

Acrobatics: 1D20+12 = [18]+12 = 30

Ordrar: Otis is explaining how he first saw this river 70 years ago, but has no idea how loud he is being, and Corben looks like he might puke at any moment.

OOC: Didn't want to write for Carolina since there are vastly different approaches that can be taken here, but I'll make something happen if we need to.

Dren pulled out a flask and took a long drink. Then he passed it over to Ordrar. They did have some good liquor on that boot, at least.
