Dren followed the others and the cultist. He cursed when the man stepped off the platform into nothingness, but the cultist didn’t fall.

“Dwarves ‘ave nae business bein’ off the ground,” he muttered to himself as he followed, carefully stepping where he saw the cultist step so as not to potentially miss the edge and go plummeting hundreds of feet toward the ground.

Tranio looks around. He has no obligation to this god, or his power. Death takes all, and these worshippers have no greater chance of escape than anyone else. Indeed, when they prey for long life, or for rescue, their gods do not hear them. It is only Death who answers, with a yes or a no.

He follows, leaving the rest of the temple undisturbed, but for the corpses by the sanctuary.

Fistan,

Fistan follows the group, but to everyone there he appears distracted as he hops in and out of the mind of Rillix, trailing behind the group in case of attack. It's not until the cultist steps into seemingly thin air that Fistan pays real attention. He mutters to himself about detecting magic while he tries to ascertain the nature of the magic before him.

It's not until everyone else has gone through that Fistan follows, leaving Rillix to watch this side of the illusion with instructions to follow if he hears nothing from Fistan after a few minutes.

EDIT: Oops, no idea where I got the idea there was a bridge, changed Fistan's narrative.

OOC: Didn't we just teleport somewhere? The cultist disappeared, that doesn't imply a bridge, but magic...unless he just stepped behind some illusion.

OOC: I was thinking as if he stepped through an illusion or invisibility spell.

You are all relived to find that stepping off the ledge does not send you tumbling to the fields below. Rather you are back inside. This chamber is fashioned from gray cloudstuff, with a huge
white tomb at its center. That tomb seems to pull all of the available light into its surface, which is carved to depict a female cloud giant. Two side doors exit onto walkways.

"Either direction will take you to the throne room," the waiting cultist explains. "The door on the right also leads to the vault if that is of any interest."

In the distance you all hear booming voices that only giants could create. The language is unfamiliar, but it is clear that one voice is quite aggressive and the other seems to be in a great deal of pain.

"Let us in all haste follow the noise of those Giants. I suspect one is the aggressor, and perhaps we may befriend the other!" exclaimed Aremus, somewhat naively.

"Only good giant is a dead giant." grumbles Ordrar "Except, we already know they aren't all the same. Damn wizards, they break things even without magic. What's wrong with having racial prejudice?"

The dwarf binds the cultist to the door hinge.
"Wait here and don't make a sound."

He turns toward the voices. "Not sure if there will be friends, but we definitely can have enemies."

OOC: move1: bind the cultist
move2: toward the voices.

Dren spun his axe around and nodded. “Aye, tha’ sounds like someone in some pain,” he agreed. “Might be we c’n stop it. One way or t’other.” He followed Ordrar and Aremus toward the left hand door, though the idea of the vault made his dwarven nose itch.

Later, he assured himself.
