He is unconcerned with the prisoner, but heads to where the noise is coming from.

You stand upon a viewing balcony some fifty feet above the audience room below. Two cloud giants are there. The younger giant, writhing on the ground, must be Olthanas. He clutches at a silver choker around his neck as an electrical current courses through his body. The older giant standing beside the throne must be the Majordomo. Tall and dressed in dark colors, she narrows her eyes at the suffering prince. The party is not yet seen and there is no sign of the dragon.

“Hopefully stopping this coup will save Goldenfields,” Dren pointed out. He looked down over the balcony where the Majordomo was tormenting the young cloud giant king.

“Looks like we’re just in time,” he said, pulling out his shortbow. He aimed at the majordomo and let two arrows fly.

"To Battle!", shouts Bethany as she runs towards the majordomo.

OOC: 5' squares, she is in melee, 10', halfway there.

Aremus yelled "Stay your hand and leave that rather large child alone!"

Then he fired two arrows at the Majordomo to show he was serious, empowering them with a glowing light, as his father had taught him to do when he was very young. He assumed that the Majordomo was large enough not to be killed by a few small arrows if it turned out that he had read the situation incorrectly.

Tranio looks at the giant, and attempts to assess the situation. He thinks he is missing something, that all is not as it appears. Nevertheless, his allies have committed.

He points his fist at the Majordomo, and says a single word, from a language not spoken casually on this plane for some time, "Wither.'

A black beam pours from his fist. It's hard to control, as the beam seems to have a weight to it, that it's substantial. Tranio attempts to swing the beam onto the giant.

OOC: Move (if required for line of sight at 60'); otherwise, keep distance. Spell: Ray of Enfeeblement. To hit: [roll0]. If a hit, half damage with weapon attacks using strength until spell ends (concentration, 1 minute; may make Con save at the end of Majordomo's turn). AC 17; HP 33. Spells left: 4/2/2.

Carolina moves to the other end of the viewing balcony, near the throne. She takes careful aim at the Majordomo, but holds her shot for now until the situation can be better read.

OOC: I'm assuming it takes a dash to get to the other end of the balcony. If there is a short wall or something there, Carolina will attempt to stay concealed while still maintaining a shot. Stealth: [roll0] Initiative, if needed: [roll1]

 

[Neurotic]

Hoping they are not in the situation where master punishes disobedient servant which will seize the opportunity the get in the masters good graces again, Ordrar follows the group standing close enough to them to protect them if needed. He ends up standing between downed giant and the one torturing him.

OOC: Ordrar stands adjacent to at least one ally, but (if possible) guard the prone giant too.
