Suggested Level Adjustment for Minotaur Ftr4/Brb1?

The minotaur is supposed to have a level adjustment of +2. However, with +8 strength and full BAB from the animal levels, along with good ref and fort saves, and a special gore attack with mega damage after a charge, it ends up being FAR to powerful.

The party I run for is level 7. What Level adjustment should I use?

Don't forget his racial hit dice - 6 levels of monstrous humanoid. Add in the +2 LA, and he won't be taking a level of any class until he earns enough XP to hit 9th level.

A minotaur Ftr4/Brb1 is an effective character level of 13.

If you're looking for a large "tough guy" race with no racial HD and a +2 LA, think about a 1/2 Ogre.
