D&D 5E Survivor 5e Plants - Shambling mound composts the competition!

This thread is inspired by prior threads that we've done - and it's time to finally do 5e plant creatures!

That's right; it’s time to deal with your greens – the kind that will eat you.

IMPORTANT NOTE- DOWNVOTES ARE WORTH 2 IN THIS THREAD.

Each plant starts with 20 points and you vote for one plant you (presumably) like, which gains 1 point, and against one plant you (presumably) dislike, which loses 2 points. It is intentional that a negative vote is worth more than a positive vote - first, because glyphosate is more effective than fertilizer. Second, because.

Upvotes are in spring green, downvotes are in autumn red (unless you are on your phone, and are unable to). Copy and graft the previous poster’s vote and change the numbers. You may vote once per day. This is an honor system, and we are all honorable gardeners; please do not abuse it. If this means you vote once at night one day, and once the next morning - that's fine, but don't vote again until the following day.

This is purely a popularity contest and you do not have to explain an upvote or downvote, but feel free to - explanations are where the fun is! When downvotes reach 0 the plant withers and dies (FATALITY!). Finally, if a plant has one vote left, then you have to make the choice to use all of your downvotes to eliminate it; there is no vote splitting. In addition, in the context of one vote, you can't upvote and downvote the same plant (no "see" votes). And you have to use BOTH YOUR UPVOTE AND DOWNVOTE if you vote.

Two important points that you must read before voting-
1. This is a pure poplararity contest, and is meant to be fun. You can cast your votes for whatever rhizome you want. Spite, irrigational love/hate, gameplay mechanics, strategic voting, and so on is perfectly acceptable. Are you voting against the Myconid because it sounds like a pharmaceutical advertised on late night TV? Are you upvoting Shrieker because you’ve always wanted to assemble a group of them into a unique choral ensemble? Do you believe that it’s morally superior to have your leaves opposite instead of alternate? It's all good! This vote does not affect anything in real life, and no plant will be pruned from D&D because of your vote. You can comment on the reasons for your vote, or not - up to you! But this is for enjoyment only.

HA HA! Who am I kidding? The results will totally determine what Jeremy Crawford plants in his yard next spring!

2. This is a list of monsters classified as plants in 5e. The list includes the main official sources (MM, VGM, MTF), plus Mordenkainen’s Fiendish Folio (5e update of the Fiend Folio), and I threw in a few entries from WoTC adventures just because the ecosystem seemed incomplete without them (e.g. Yellow Musk Creeper from ToA). You can find my source here:

DnD Beyond Plants Filtered By Source

3. As always, the list is the list. If you have a complaint about the list, please direct it to /dev/null. Or to @CleverNickName, who will be happy to commiserate about classification problems.

Katana. Just kidding! Katana is … aw, c’mon, look - it’s a freaking chunk of metal. Not. In. Any. Way. A. Plant. Now leave me alone, ghost of Lowkey.

Also,
Shrubbery. Because there had to be a joke about shrubberies here, but I couldn’t come up with one.

So then, let's plow forward and see which entrant remains turgid after the others have been mowed down.

Shambling Mound wins!

UPROOTED! FATALITY!

No, nothing of the sort. It's just that everyone knows there is only one iconic plant monster in D&D.

Well, I suppose Treants are pretty iconic. And Shambling Mound, and Shriekers...

...I'll sit back down.
