Feathergale Spire
Midday

Errol admired the view of the Sighing Valley from the top of the tower. The sight lines were excellent, but he wondered why, exactly, the tower was here.

Following the others back down the stairs, Errol listened to the reports he got from Illvelios when the man listened at the doors. The room they were able to enter was another guest room or some such, like the one they had been given, though larger.

“I didn’t hear anyone say how many knights were in this order,” Errol mused as they continued to tour the tower.

Let's skip this locked door, shall we? Don't think there will be much of interest up here? Ilvellios nodded questioningly at the stairs down..

Errol nodded to Ilvellios. “These all seem to be private chambers,” he agreed. “Little reason to invade the privacy yet when we have more poking around we could do.” He headed for the stairs again, nodding to a few bustling servants as they passed, and went down to the next level.

Feathergale Spire Mid afternoon

Heading back down through the 2nd level where the Hall is you find it much busier. Most people seem to be servants scurrying about their business and they don't pay you much head. Those that do are helpful.

Back at ground level, immediately off the central staircase is the kitchen, which is a riot of activity, the room with the strange plants and sparing partners is also off the staircase as well as a cramped accommodation room. The strange man in robes appears to still be meditating without the need to breath. Heading into the entrance guard room you find Savra and her two other guards. There is a locked door off to one side, though any interest in this door draws scowls from the guards.

Heading further down, you come to the stable level where a knight is tending to the animals. The central area hold saddles, bridles and other paraphernalia associated with riding, and there are twelve doors leading outwards. Each leads to a stable with a large exterior door. Four stalls have hippogriffs and four other have giant vultures while others show signs of recent activity.

So far you have seen: Savra and the other gate guards, though they appear to not be knights; Thurl and his two knight guards in the hall along with two squires; two knights at the pinnacle; three occupants of the Solarium with the plants and around 6 servants, though some of them could be squires.

From what you have seen of the Spire, it could hold 10 to 12 knights and as many squires plus a few servants.

As they completed their tour of the tower, Errol said, “Looks like a fairly simple affair. Nothing seems amiss,” he mused. But according to J.V., Savra sure seemed distressed. “What think the rest of you?” he asked his party members. “Did we bring the blue cloak with us?”

"Everything we know about that attack we investigated suggests they were attacked from above. Perhaps a stable hand could unknowingly divulge if there was any action recently? Perhaps a wounded animal might hint at such a thing."

“The lack of tracks would seem to indicate that,” Errol agreed with JV. “But why would a Feathergale Knight attack a trade delegation? And why would they deny knowing of it?” he asked. “Asking the stable hand might be prudent.” He took the cloak and examined it for any possible personalized identification, a family crest or monogram that might indicate its owner.

Examining the cloak you cannot spot anything that makes it unique other than some stains and battle damage.

OOC: First attempt at posting with new android app, apologies if format is strange.

Ilvellios nods, "Talking to a stable hand sounds good, or maybe Savra could tell us if anyone else feels the same way she does?

Certainly there are no obvious places where there might be secret doors. Could be there are hidden cellars or a basement, though that wouldn't seem to fit the philosophy of this place!"
