Duran contemplates the best way out of this AC target they cannot wound vs some master monk. Oh then there was the patrols and the prisoners to protect.

Duran takes out his frustrations on the gargoyles in front of him.

OOC: We are still at advantage I believe of not just take the first roll.

OOC: Still waiting for Thateous, but he hasn't posted anything since the 27th so may be busy IRL. If he hasn't posted anything by tomorrow I'll RC him for a round of combat.

Round 3

Hellenrae remains at the top of the stairs listening to the gravely sound of the gargoyles voices, giving Nariah time to blast another bolt of fey energy at one of the creatures. Eroll repositions himself and tries to land a blow, but finds his attacks turned by the stony skin of the monster. Illvilious starts the retreat, attracting a minor hit form the gargoyle, but this leaves him open to an assault from Duran that almost takes the monster down. Its barely standing after a blast of eldritch energy from JV hits it.

That doesn't stop it biting Duran, piercing the bear's thick fur and drawing blood. At the same time the other gargoyle bites Eroll. With blinding speed, Hellenrae darts accross the garden to attack JV, somehow he manages to dodge some of the blows, but the abbess still manages to land one that leaves JV seeing stars. It leaves her open to a savage attack from Sir Jondal, who lands two solid blows with his stolen greatclub. "I've got your back." he shouts, by way of encouragement to JV.

OOC: I've RC'd JV, since Thateos seems to be busy IRL, I didn't move him because Nariah didn't move. In keeping with "NPCs do the minimum necessary" approach, he'll basically follow Nariah.

Only just noticed a knight's leadership ability, so sorry it's not been in play so far. I also realised that Duran should be a 2x2 square bear, not a 1x1 human, but that'll really screw things up in the garden right now - so as soon as there is room around Duran, he'll suddenly be a lot bigger - it's ...errr...magic :p
