Persephone

"Oh, I'm very honored, Gath. You do look strong enough to guard us both by yourself, but your friend would be welcome too. I definitely need guarding. I wish we'd had you around whent that dragon attacked us. Have you met Fridly?" She scoops the small white owl off her shoulder and onto her wrist, where she can display him to her new acquantences. "He's my owl. He can scout for us and stuff. You'll find that owls and Princesses can be useful when adventuring too."

"Hello Mr. Blackbeard. Persephone the sorcerer at your service. Very pleased to meet you." Fridly hoots agreeably.

"Oh, hi Lupic."

Gath looks at Gorefoot with some frustration in his eyes. "What be doing ? Stealing my ..." With that, Lupic enters the inn. "Hi Lupic, you take long. Me no trouble. Why you always say that? Me just talking for work with Fant and ... Perse ... phone ?"

As Persephone presents her owl, Gath's eyes flashes in recognition. "Oh! You be witch, like lady we met with hoarsons."

Gorefoot, a little indignant at being quickly forgotten (or ignored), steps up to Gath, arms crossed, and glares up at him, "I'm not stealing anything. If she wants my help she can have it. I'm just as useful as you are." As he says "you" he pokes Gath in the knee with his index finger. (If he and Gath were the same height, he would have poked Gath in the chest. As it is, there is an almost comical difference in height.)

OOC: I'm getting the impression that poking Gath is probably akin to poking a badger, but hey, Gorefoot lacks those subtlties of perception. ;)

The door to the inn opens, and a half-orc walks in. He is short for one of his kind, has his coarse black hair tied in a loose pony-tail, and is wearing a simple monk's garp. He eyes the gathered crowd for a moment after closing the door. He switches his quarterstaff from leaning to one shoulder to another
"I am Rodimus, a monk."
With the introduction out of the way, Rodimus goes over to table and sits down, putting his backpack to the floor and his staff leaning against the table next to himself.
"Recommendations, barkeep?"

Gath pretty much ignores the arrival of the half-orc monk, focusing on the poking gnome. "Me be here first. Me be much better at smashing too! Now leave, little one." Gath returns the 'poking' favor by slightly pushing the gnome back.

OOC: You could also say that it is akin to poking Mike Tyson ... watch out for your ears and children ;)

Persephone

Persephone rises and steps in between them. "Now boys. There's plenty of princess for both of you to guard. And we'll undoubtably need the services of everyone present if our next adventure is anywhere nearly as dangerous as the last one I was on. Why don't you both sit down and have a drink."

Fant watches the exchanges with amused detachment, reacting only to Persephone's statement about the odd crowd (she nods), her description of herself as a sorcerer (Aha! she thinks. That explains it.), and her description of Fant as a Princess. "Actually, no," she says. "I am landless, and unfortunately titleless, nobility." Fant frowns. All I've got that's noble is my blood. And my sword. She moves her hand to the jeweled pommel of her sword. They will have to suffice.

The door opens for just a moment and just wide enought to let a slender figure inside. The man takes a last quick look outside, than closes the door firmly.

Shaking off the dust and drawing back the hood of his travelling cloak he reveals fine elven features with blue-and-silver eyes that sparkly with excitment and effortlessly pierce the gloom in the busy room.

He takes in the scene, obviously delighted before stepping in farther into the room, halting the first passer-by:

"Well met my friend. I've heard of this fine Inn before, but never had I believed it to be this.. this.. enormous" he says, obviously impressed.

Pausing a moment to take in yet another exotic customer walking by he continues:

"Might you be so kind as to show me where to find .... "

he looks down on a little stripe of parchment with a few scribbled lettres on it

"... Joe, that's him, Joe the Barkeep!"

The little piece of parchment disappears again in the folds of his cloak, as he looks at you with anticipation.

The door opens again !

A brown hair man enters the tavern with a big smile and sprakling eyes:

"Finally"

On in way up to the bar, he shakes hand to any men he crosses and says:

"The name is Menrakion. Mercenary. Nice to meet you !"

And to every women he bows and kisses the back of their hand and says:

"Hello my Lady. My name is Menrakion, at YOUR service"

When he reaches the bar, he asks the first waiter or bartender:

"Hi. I'm currently searching for a job. Do you know anyone who is looking for an escort for his convoy, or someone looking for a good swordman ! I can even babaysit or do some work in the gardens... as long as there enough gold piece in exchange !... oh, and i'll take a good jar of beer please !"

A tall man steps into the room. He spots an empty table in the corner and sits down. He takes out a pack of cards and counts them. As a person walks by, he stops them and asks

He points to the trade mark

its over 5 years old! I charge but 10 gp for this great bargain antique.
