- only 2 people between both groups have tried 4E and own the books,

Our core group met in high school and college, so that means the majority of us have been gaming together for over 25 years (good lord).

What edition are you playing?
This group is playing a hybrid of C&C and D&D 3.5 (see my sig). Everyone is about 17th level right now. As the GM, my desire to move to 4e is very strong considering the hell of running 3.5 at this level.

I have just joined two other groups in the last month or so. One is a much younger group (averaging early 30s) and the other seems about the same age range as my main group. I have not been with these two new groups to be able to give any detailed info.

I've been playing with my group for a bit over 8 years now, although our membership has changed quite a bit since I joined. Two of the original players from when I joined are still there (one of them is the owner of the house we play at) but all the rest joined at some point after me. I've played with most of them for at least two or three years though.

My group has two game nights, with slightly different rosters for each night. We also have a somewhat large periphery of former players who sometimes join ... I won't include them here. We have currently active:

One game is 4E, one game is 3.5. The 3.5 game was from before 4E's release though, and we plan on switching over on that night once it wraps up. As far as we currently plan, this will likely be our last 3.5 game.

The main group has been role playing together since 1984. most of us are gamers from before that.

Ages range from late 30's to mid-40's. The main group is composed of 1 female and 6 males. Careers include technical writer, university chemical stores, chef, MBA instructor, middle-school teacher, engineer, and enterprise architect.
