Rinya slashes at the satyr, but the roots throw off her footing and her sword goes for the wrong person. Thallirae, already engaging the satyr, cannot dodge the wayward attack. (
9 damage to Thallirae)
The unexpected wound causes Thallirae to lose her battle against the third satyr, and she is pressed
backwards.
Saithnar sends out a ray of burning energy, but it goes terribly astray and sears fungus instead of foe.
Brother Coir stops, confused. He steps forward into the zone of silence and opens his mouth to gasp (silently). He steps back and begins to call out, but his words echo into the zone of silence and reach none of you.
Nhairi performs similar tactics, heading back to the last place where she could hear. Neither of them look overly concerned, they're probably not even aware that a battle is going on.
Round 2
The "tentacle gnome" continues its assault on Richard. Again, the assault is an utter failure; the tentacles fly almost
aimlessly around their big target. (
4 tentacles, all miss)
Everybody but Saithnar, your turn.
Some notes: Any square with more than 50% light colored material is considered a legal position. I tried to be pretty clear as to which squares count as "undergrowth" for the roots. If there's question, please ask, but otherwise, remember that root squares require double movement.
Also, remember that moving diagonally requires 7.5 feet of movement. Or, in other words, 5' for the first diagonal, 10' for the second, 5' for the third, and so on.
