I'm here!

Sorry, distracted again! I'm doing lots, so posting has slowed, and my time to check threads is also waaaay more sporadic. Trying to condense things.

Not kaput! doghead is on hiatus until tomorrow, so he hasn't been able to post, and I think things have been slow with various end-of-season activities.

Once you guys quickly wrangle together anything you might need to survive in a city out of time, and we get Wisco back with the party, or you all over with Wisco, we will proceed with the killing.

Erm, I mean adventure.

Yes, that's what I meant, adventure... :D

Hello

I am back and keen to get back into things once I get five minutes to myself so that I can catch up. Hopefully I will be able to do so and be in a position to get back into things in a few days. But for my sanity's sake, I will say should be good to go by the weekend.

... Assuming Wisco has survived :)

Hope everyone is doing well. Be back soon.

I have started catching up. I have reinserted Wisco back into the group. I figure we can sort out the other stuff in the background so as not to hold things up.

There is still a bit to do getting Wisco up to speed.

I have made a start with a new post for Wisco in the RG thread so I can update and advance him.

Wisco spent a few hours in Wyslayn before departing, selling his remaining two Cyphers and the Oddity (IC#403). I don't think we sorted out how much he got for them, nor what supplies he bought. If you let me know how got for the bling, I'll sort out what he bought.
Cyphers and Oddities Sold:
- Adhesion clamps (lvl 6) - gloves covered with tiny hexagons
- Flame retardant wall (lvl 6) - A ring marked with fine filigree and tiny, glittery nodes
- Bracelet with a tiny charm bell that rings like a massive bell when intentionally rung.

Next stop, back to the rulebook. Got 8XP burning a hole in my pocket.

But first, to bed.

Cheers

Nice to have you back. :)

Been having some difficulty posting, myself. Not sure what my malfunction is. Will try to get one out today.

Argh!

Two of these posts in a row now. I am really trying, but am just blocked up on Echo it seems.

I have some ideas for possible remedies. I'll PM you, Isida.

To everyone else, my apologies for the mess.

OK. I have have advanced Wisco, adding one +1 INT Edge and +1 Effort.

The first decision was easy, Wisco spends more from his INT pool than any other, and Edge is the gift that just keeps giving. The second decision less so. 4 more pool points would be useful. But I wanted to be able to step the difficulty down by 2. Specialising a skill would do that (and for free!), but only in one area. So I decided to go with the riskier strategy of adding one Effort. When in doubt, throw more effort at the problem.

Took a bit of re-reading of the book to remember how everything works again. There are some pretty cool things in there. Two in particular caught my eye.

1. Seskii. Can I have one? I have no idea what the cost of it would be. Happy to trade all Wisco's bling-bling for it. It doesn't have to be particularly loyal to Wisco at this stage (ie: it keeps wondering off, it doesn't obey him, it won't fight for him). Perhaps he recused it from siskii crystal traders in town and it doesn't like humans much at the moment. Or perhaps its owes its loyalty to the Auger tree, and is following Wisco for its own reasons. You never know if you don't ask, right?

2. Oorgolian Soldiers. If I ever make another character, I want it to be an Oorgolian Soldier. Maybe as a Glaive. But not necessarily. I kind of like the idea of something like a scout or recon specialist. Something to play around with when things get quiet.

Post coming up tonight. It's...a doozy. I will be sblocking a lot of it so as not to spam.

Started out more modest, snowballed, then just sort of kept snowballing.

Late response is late!

1. I think I can wrangle that at some point in the near future.

2. They are pretty neat, aren't they? They don't have them statted out for player use yet. They did some changes that let a PC use certain races from the Numenera creature collection, but not the Oorgolian Soldier, at least not yet. If Wisco ends up riding I the sunset at some point, we'd have to figure out how to make them. :D

Shayuri - Really fabulous post, I very much dig it. Great backstory, and a great read. :)
