APPEARANCE

Telic is shorter than average, relatively thin, with dirty blond hair and blue eyes. He carries a large greatsword slung over his back in a travel stained sheath and generally wears a dusty cloak which might once have been white but is now tan from mud, dust, and wear. The cloak has a few patches in it where has been mended.

PERSONALITY

Telic is a very likeable person, good natured and kindly. He is quite rash, and prone to leap into battle without considering the odds if someone's personal freedom is at stake. His time on the road has left him with a large collection of stories which he brings out at the slightest provocation. Underneath his laughing exterior however, Telic is devoted to the cause of liberation, willing to fling himself headlong into any situation to rescue people. His chaotic nature has occasionally gotten him into trouble with the Guard, but rarely on any serious offence.

BACKGROUND

Telic's parents were never known to him, as his mother, too poor to support him, left him on the doorstep of a temple of Olidamarra. Raised in the company of such people, Telic developed an intense devotion to the cause of freedom. Being raised in a temple (however undevout it might seem at times) left him with profound religious convictions, and so rather than becoming a more "traditional" disciple of Olidamarra (read: rogue), he decided to devote his life to the ideals of freedom through a more holy path, and took up a sword as a liberator.

When he was 17, after having been on the road "fighting the good fight" for about 2 years, he fell in with a group called "Daedalus," a wandering circus which served as cover for a group of anti-slavery fighters composed mainly of rogues. He worked with Daedalus for 7 years, ostesibly as a hostler and guard for the circus, in reality providing the muscle for some of their operations.

Some trouble with the guard involving a death led the organization to temporarily break up, going a little lower profile for the time to avoid notice. Telic has taken up the life of a wandering musician since then as cover for his activities.

Xavier is a slender but well built young man. Xavier's clothes are well tailored out of fine cottons and wools, and worked with the design of his house and his church. While in keeping with the fashions of the time, they are generally on the sober side, reflecting his calling as a warrior of the God of War, Heironeous.

Personality:

The fruits of courtly life are sweet, and ever tempting. And Xavier is not immune to the siren's call of vanity. Which is why he keeps a simple wooden holy symbol. It is a reminder that the true measure of a man is not to be found in the clothes he wears or the possessions he has.

Background:

Xavier is the son of a provincial Baron. He has several sisters and brothers. One of his sisters is a priestess of Selune.

His father's staunch defence of the kingdom's boarders has earnt Xavier's father a measure of influence in the court. Xavier's childhood alternated between the capitol, Talos, and his family's provence as his father sought to balance his courtly and martial education and training. The Baron wasn't completely successful. Young Xavier spent enough time on the frontier to be able to sleep in armour and keep up a forced march. But most of his fighting skills come from a sword master and honed in the practice yard.

Soon after reaching adulthood, Xavier took up the shield of Heironeous. He has served the church for going on 3 years now. Over that time he has participated in a number of missions, almost exclusively calling on diplomacy rather than force of arms. Diplomacy, he discovered, he has some talent for. But the Roces, as his father never tires of saying, are warriors, and Xavier sometimes finds himself fretting at the lack of opportunity so far to test himself as such.

Appearance:

Lithe and lean, Jath has been mistaken as having elvish blood in his veins and depending upon the company he is with, if it is male or female, he will either smile shake his head in disagreement, or whisper elvish poetry into her ear allowing her own thoughts to answer for her.

Jath dresses in the style of the gypsies when he is among them, bright colors and loose fabric, but when he travels outside of their camp, he dresses mostly in the style that will allow him to blend smoothly into the population.

His green eyes sparkle when he is on the hunt, whether it be business or pleasure, as there is truely nothing more he savors than the rush of excitement that is gained by throwing caution to the wind and living for the moment.

He has crafted his holy symbol to be smoothly hidden among the scroll work on the silver necklace he wears, and although slightly unorthodox, Jath feels that his cleverness is just another form of worship to Oldimarra, just as well as using his looks to convince wealthy women to "loan" him a piece of their jewelry, as a memento of their love.
