Tarim runs up to flank the creature and strikes at it with his scimitar (or if no flanking is possible, move so as that someone will move to flank it and ready an action to attack when they do so).

In the centre of the dust cloud the lithe warrior Khusrau steps forward and brings his blade down towards the creature, intent on quickly ending this melee and continuing their flight.

OOC: Khusrau's attack roll hit AC-8 (yes, that was a critical miss).

During the arc sand wips up into the warrior's face, filling his eyes and blinding him temporarily. The blade's arc changes, swinging around and narrowly missing Djamir before thudding deeply into the side of a crate, burying itself deeply within.

Taking the opportunity to flank the distracted creature, Tarim slashes his blade at the creature from behind.

OOC: Tarim's attack roll hit AC17 for 3 points damage (yes, snake eyes on the dice, sorry).

The blade slashes the back of the creature's neck, and expecting the Wjauld to drop dead at his feet, Tarim is surprised to see the creature roar in fury instead! It's mouth frothes with bile and blood, and within seconds it's eyes burn with bloodlust and rage.

OOC: Wjauld enters rage. Wjauld's attack roll hit AC20 <hit> for 4 points of damage!

The creature's claws snap out sharply and there is a shower of sparks as Djamir's armour tries to protect him from the creature's furious attacks. Suddenly there is a sharp pain in his stomach and blood trickles from an open wound that runs almost the width of his abdomen, the pain almost overcomes him.

OOC: Djamir takes 4 points of damage.

Almost collapsing from the pain, the stocky dwarf swings his club desperately at the creature to stave it off.

OOC: Djamir's attack roll hit AC15 <hit> for 4 points of damage.

The club collides with the creatures face solidly, making a crunching noise that you assume would drop his assailant. But defiant the battered creature stands to fight for its life.

OOC: Khalas's attack roll hit AC15 for 3 points damage!

Suddenly through the dust the form of Khusrau ducks into the fray to deliver and open-handed snap against the side of the creature's head, causing it to snap sideways violently. Within moments the creature drops to the ground next to its companion, unable to fight on.

Tarim averts his eyes from the assorted bodily fluids.

"Probably. Let's get to your relatives." He matches actions to words, hoping someone else will help Djamir along but reluctantly doing so if no one else will.

Khalas removes the sash from around his waist and quickly tightens it around the dwarf's abdomen as a makeshift bandage.

"I am sorry, but I am no healer. This may help stop the bleeding, though. We must move quickly, now. There will be time to tend to your wounds later, but we mustn't remain here!"

With that, Khalas gets moving as well, keeping his eyes and ears open for signs of any more of the wjauld - or other dangers.

First Post
With Tarim assisting the badly injured wizard, the group slowly makes its way through the 'clearing' within the caravans to a camel trail that winds between the tents on the far side.

Assisting the struggling Djamir slows the party somewhat, but it still takes less than a few mintutes to wind your way through dashing wagoneers and the dangers of 'quickearth' to a seemingly safer ground.

OOC: Group Survival check -
Khusrau - DC 31
Djamir - DC 2
Tarim - DC 18
Khalas - DC 19

As you approach a feasting spot where the trail opens and many wagoneers would most likely eat and drink beneath a larger tent, Khusrau pulls his hand across the group to bar their path.

Several feet in front of you the earth suddenly sinks away with a dull thud and sucks a tent post and several inches of dirt into the ground. Moving quickly to avoid it you begin to see more clearly through the dust, as if you are coming to the edge of the disturbance. Off to your right you can see a group of animals tethered to your post, including your own. But above the noise of the disturbance you hear the cries of dwarves coming from another direction.

OOC: Group Listen check -
Khusrau - DC 7
Djamir - DC 10
Tarim - DC 9
Khalas - DC 21

Khalas's keen ears easily determines the direction of the dwarves, allowing him to lead the party in that direction, if he wishes of course.
