Remember in that one movie when that Legolas guy killed a gargantuan oliphant in one hit? Bam.

He didn't know it was a minion. That's why he took care of the 50 dudes on its back first, and then wasted 4 arrows trying to do as much damage as he could into its brain.

I guess you could rationalize that he did what, 250-ish damage with one hit? No way. Minion rules, baby.

So I think minions are A-OK.

Or the mammoth was a walking battle platform, and once the people on its back were removed it was removed from the fight. Legolas "killing" it was just a cinematic way of doing so.

That is a great example. And thinking of that battle what about the 300,000 other guys running along side of them? Mostly minions too I'd say.
