I mean, yes and no: It's based on what they algorithm "THINKS" you might be interested in, based on your browsing history. They could be WAY OFF. In a "Amazon users who have purchased shoes might also like tennis rackets" kind of way.

The ads are served by Google based on your browsing history. You can complain about the amount of ads, but the content… that’s individual and down to you. Everybody sees different ads.

Sharing the ads you see does reveal something about you, so maybe don’t do that publicly if you value your privacy .

I don't. Im getting tactical bikini ads for no reason that is known to me. Im gay, I watch gay porn, but Im not getting tactical jock-strap ads

Yep, that being my point, the ads in now way correspond to my browsing; I should be getting ads on miniatures, paint, gaming, comic books... and gay porn

They are all kind of phantom ads for me, like I can see greyed out backgrounds, with a sort of greyed out x that I can click them off, though the ads interfere with the functioning of the site. Like this:

For our discussion, the important point is that EN World has no control over what ads you see.

I get normal ads, but I get those ghost ads sometimes, too.
