Unhallow question

[Neverwinter Knight]

If I use Cause Fear as the spell I want to make permanent (for one year) with the Unhallow spell, do people entering the area and that are affected by the spell make a saving throw

- once when entering the area and then again when they leave and enter it again or
- every round within the area or
- another way

I believe it's this one? Generally, you need only make a save once per exposure, unless the spell says otherwise.
