The Blackguard kicks back and has a cold one. Why? Well little did the Cleric realize it, but while casting the spell the Paladin, who had been broken by the Blackguard's Mindbender while in prison, had reversed all of the runes upon the gate which redirected the spell to open a gate from the abyss. The cleric, stunned at this turn of events, does not notice the Doppelganger, who had been posing as the daughter, sneak up and give him a slight push into the 666th layer of the Abyssal plane.
