What is the real name of the Wu Jen from Chinese folklore?

I don't know if this is relevant at all but in Martin Palmer's translation of the book of Chuang Tzu there's a character who appears in two of the stories whose name Martin renders as "Wu Jen" (although it's rendered as "Wuren" in Burton Watson's translation)

The references I'm finding to this translation date it to 2006 or 2007, which would seem an ineligible candidate to have inspired something written in the mid-1980s. Though perhaps there's an older translation that predates OA, that also renders the name the same way?
