What's up with Amazon?

There seems to be an issue with all Sword & Sorcery products at Amazon. My Warcraft book has not shipped in over three weeks, but a friend of mine got his new DMG in a week. :(

Glad to see I'm not alone. Ordered AU and a DMG on the 14th, DMG didn't ship until the 25th, and AU still hasn't shipped.

As near as I can figure, Amazon's just suffering from "left hand doesn't know what the right hand's doing" syndrome.

They've got Arcana Unearthed, for example. They've shipped it to people. So the shipping people are doing their job. But whoever is in charge of changing the website to show that the book is available seems unaware that their own shipping department is sending it out and unwilling to respond to attempts from the publisher that the book is indeed published (has been for a month now) and available.

While I'm sure they've lost sales, I'm also sure that we're small beans to them. Maybe I should have called the book Potter Harry.

Anyone know what's up with Amazon? Arcana Unearthed is still "Not Yet Published', as is the Scarred Land's Players Guide to Fighters and Barbarians, with no release date given. Several other products I've seen in local stores for more than a week also have this status. Is this just Amazon being weird, or are some gaming companies doing this as a business decision?

I got my Arcana unearthed last week from amazon.

try using priceowl.com to look for books. it searches a bunch of web book sellers, including amazon. you can tell who has what in stock, and how much $$, and what shipping costs and all that.

i use it to get all my rpg books.

Yes, statutory rape is illegal, as is kiddie porn.

Amazon.com has recieved many e-mails about this (one from me, and I know of a bunch of people on another message board who wrote as well), and the material is still on there.

If the items in question are illegal then call the police and have them arrested. I think you Will find though , that neither of those items are illegal to sell. While you and I may find it offensive, that is not a reason to have a seller remove it.

It's probably best to keep these kind of topics mum unless you want this thread closed Gnome Berzerker. I know I'm not a mod but this kind of stuff is best left off ENWorld... ;)
