With wizard / sorcerer your damage is already well covered, GWM is not a necessity.
You want them to splash the monsters before you get into their area effect, alert is counterproductive.
Tough gives you 8 more hp but does not help on recovery, I find it best on sorcerer since 7hp/level is much better than 5hp/level.
Martial adept might save you from a similar amount of damage.

So, none of the above I guess.
- evening out Dex14 / Cha18 is a good option for level 6 aura, your barbarian will thank you (it can wait for level 8)
- sentinel is the best way to defend your squishies (unless barb takes it)
- inspiring leader gives *you* 9 thp, way better than tough or MA would do even if we disregard the rest of your party.

I voted for GWM by default.

Holy :):):):) you're right.
I'm switching to Inspiring Leader.
I actually was under the impression that the temp HP would fade after a minute, as in, once one combat ended.
Wow.

I am running a Paladin with Inspiring Leader right now and it's definitely saved some of the more squishy party members a few times. Plus you can always give yourself a few extra hit points too. I play with a big party, so I'm essentially giving out 56 or more HP every rest. Works wonders on NPCs that you have to escort as well. And the hit points do just stick around if they didn't get hit. It's definitely a good option.

Out of the options in your poll, I picked GWM. It gives you a huge offensive bonus. You can definitely offset some of the negative hit with your channel divinity or Bless, which helps you deal huge damage. And more damage means you probably get more bonus attacks for downing creatures. And remember you can move between attacks, so you can down one creature and move on to the next.
