definately would be on my list of things to buy in PDF format, I especially loved the hollowfaust book and always found it funny that the city of necromancers was safer to live in then the one ran by palidins

Because gameless settings don't sell well?

Depends on the form the system support takes. Take Freeport[1] for example - were SL supplements to use a similar format for statting NPCs, they would probably gain wider audience.

I'd be interested if

1. it was released as ONE concise setting book. The original setting suffered from not having such a thing.
2. not just a retread of the same book(s) with slap-on-4e-stats
3. it has high quality look and feel (production and content-wise)

And what systemless support is freeport getting this year?

None.

It's a nice thing for companies to try out but it always seems to be that people prefer specifics.
