D&D 4E Yet another Dragonmarks Thread (inspired by 4e)

With the recent question about settings I remembered my 4th edition Eberron campaign fondly and decided to dust off some 5th edition dragonmarks I made a while back.

In 3.5e dragonmarks granted characters a number of once per day spells. When 4e came along dragonmarks granted characters a unique ability along with the ability to cast certain rituals. I wanted to go with the 4e model but have removed the ritual component as ritual caster is already a thing and I may make a prestige class down the road for dragonmarked characters.

So here's my attempt at making 5e dragonmarks as feats. They're intended to be balanced as feats. Characters of a certain race may choose to sacrifice their ability score bonuses in order to gain a dragonmark at level 1. Yes, even humans can do this (so they gain 2 feats at level 1).

Mark of Detection

Pre-requisites: half-elf and a member of House Medani.

The least mark of detection manifests upon your body. Once per short rest you can reroll a perception check or a saving throw against illusions after seeing the result. You may use either result. Once you use this ability you cannot use it again until you finish a short rest.

Mark of Finding

Pre-requisites: half-orc or human and a member of House Tharashk.

The least mark of finding manifests upon your body. Choose two humanoid races. You have advantage on checks related to trying to find someone of this race. In addition you learn a language one of the two races speaks natively.

Mark of Handling

Pre-requisites: human and a member of House Vadalis.

The least mark of handling manifests upon your body. When you tend to a beast's wounds you may spend your own hit dice to heal the creature.

Mark of Healing

Pre-requisites: halfling and a member of House Jorasco.

The least mark of healing manifests upon your body. When a creature within 30 feet of you makes a death saving throw you can use your reaction to grant them advantage.

Mark of Hospitality

Pre-requisites: halfling and a member of House Ghallanda.

The least mark of hospitality manifests upon your body. When a creature takes a short rest you can spend 30 minutes making sure everyone is comfortable as part of your own short rest. When a character spends a hit dice to regain hit points they may roll the hit dice twice and take the better result.

Mark of Making

Pre-requisites: human and a member of House Cannith.

The least mark of making manifests upon your body. You have advantage on checks related to making magic items and can make potions and without needing to have levels in a spellcasting class. You can also repair non-magical items, taking 10 minutes per 1 square foot of damage the item has suffered.

Mark of Passage

Pre-requisites: human and a member of House Orien.

The least mark of passage manifests upon your body. You speed increases by 10 feet and can use a bonus action to ignore difficult terrain. When an adjacent creature moves away from you, you can use your reaction to follow them, moving no more than your speed.

Mark of Scribing

Pre-requisites: gnome and a member of House Sivis.

The least mark of scribing manifests upon your body. You learn 3 bonus languages. You can also spend 10 mninutes studying a text to temporarily learn the language it is written in. For the rest of the day or until you use this ability you can read and understand anything written in this language.

Mark of the Sentinel

Pre-requisites: human and a member of House Deneith.

The least mark of sentinel manifests upon your body. As an action you can touch a creature and create a bond with that creature. When the bonded creature is within 30 feet of you and is attacked you can use your reaction to have the attack target you instead.

Mark of Shadow

Pre-requisites: elf and a member of either House Phiarlan or House Thuranni.

The least mark of shadow manifests upon your body. You can hide even when you are only lightly obscured or in dim light. At 3rd level you can turn invisible once a day for up to 1 hour so long as you do not attack anyone. At 5th level you can use this ability twice a day.

Mark of Storm

Pre-requisites: half-elf and a member of House Lyrandar.

The least mark of storm manifests upon your body. You have resistance to lightning damage and have a fly speed of 30 feet.

Mark of Warding

Pre-requisites: dwarf and a member of House Kundarak.

The least mark of warding manifests upon your body. You can use a bonus action to grant an adjacent creature a +2 bonus to their AC until the start of your next turn.
