DMs! Who are YOUR composers?

The question is simple, if you had unlimited resources to make your campaign great, and you set out to pick out two composers to write background music for the campaign, who would you pick?

I would pick Philip Glass for travel and exploration scenes, negotiations etc, and John Williams for battle music.

Keep in mind, this is not necessarily who you already use, but who you would use if they composed the music specially for you.

Carl Orff and Friedrich Handel. Unfortunatily, both would require some dark arts to get back to composing :D.

Basil Poledouris.

The rest is silence.

Well, if unlimited resources means finding a way to resurrect people, then yes, I'd go with Basil Poledouris too.

I'm still annoyed that imdb.com didn't have a special thingy for when he died, like when they do when actors and similars die.

Heh, nice question to ponder.

I'd go for Camille Saint-Saëns (Dance Macabre) and Edward Grieg (Halls of the Mountain King).

Does it have to be composers? I mean I can't place my finger on anyone who has the "Official" composer title as doing my background music.
I can however definately name Bands, sometimes even song titles when it comes to placing a "Soundtrack" to my games.

Nightwish: Elven Path - Travel scenes
King Gordy: FIGHT! - Fight music
Keven "Bloody" Wilson: Last lagger Waltz - Bar music
ICP: The Amazing Maze - Dungeon crawl
Donna Lewis: Simone - Romantic interlude
Rammstien: Links, 2, 3, 4 - Epic battle
Gwen Steffani: Harajuku (sp?) Girls - Visiting the brothel
Crash Test Dummies: Two Knights and Maidens - Moments of doubt
Great Big Sea: Begger man - Triumphing over advercity
Tech N9ne: Einstien - Preparing for the "final battle"
Rahzel: 4 Elements - after the battle
Axe Murder Boyz: Quicksand - End Credits

I know a lot of people like background music, atmospheric effects, etc. but I have never found them that useful and more often than not distracting. I would prefer silence other than the actual game play. My very vocal cat included.
