Also, Chris, I don't think IM is allowing forged weapons at this time. So, your girl probably wouldn't have a sword.

Well, I probably should not have said it so generally. Metal is available, but rare. It would most likely be used for tools, not weapons. I will let IM speak to this, though.

No forged weapons? No knives? Metal arrowheads? (that was what I was planning on.)

Nothing that would take a skilled weaponsmith to make. A basic iron weapon can be made by a blacksmith, but probably not a balanced steel weapon. I don't remember what the modifications are for iron weapons right off the bat, though.

The town has a blacksmith, who makes shoes, nails, etc. for the town. He could make woodcutters' axes, arrows for hunting, etc.

Yeah, Soulknife/Psychic Warrior was what I decided I'd have the most fun with, so that's what I went with.

Well, tetanus, as I understand it, is not caused by rust. It is caused by bacteria in soil, primarily from animal feces. So, a clean cut from a rusty blade, while possibly infecting the victim would be unlikely to cause tetanus. A puncture wound from a dirty knife or spear would be much more likely to cause tetanus, as the wound is dirty and, as a puncture, would get no oxygen, nor would it bleed exteriorly.

I found all this out after slicing my finger open with a can lid!

I also found out that tetanus is nothing anyone wants! It is a terrible and possibly fatal disease!
