I also seem to recall a statement by Andy Collins from a few years back, after that point, where he said something to the effect of "everyone thinks they're stupid", as a way of explaining why the modrons had little more than a paragraph in the 3e Manual of the Planes.

He's stupid. Modrons rule. I wish there had been Modron minis from Wizzo. I would have bought a pile of them and staged my own Modron March.

I very seriously doubt that we'll ever see a 4e modron from WotC.

We can only hope. :p

Sorry, but I hate the modrons... At least as written. I've heard some ideas that sold me on their possibilities, but most of them change the base concept so much that I doubt a lot of older fans of them would approve any more. I think by the time they were something I could live with, a lot of folks wouldn't see them as "real" modrons anymore.

So... how would you like modrons? And what do people like about modrons?

For me, their quirky appearance makes it. I simply love them, because they look weird and cute at once, especially the rogue modrons. Or the Dragon cover, on which the modron just looked adorable.

Cheers, LT.
