Character Builder/Compendium Update

There are no updates made to the free demo - you have to get the new version and install it after uninstalling the old.

So I've got the free demo version that's supposed to have an update. But I can't get it because I don't have a sub to DDI. Would someone care to explain why they have a seperate update to a free demo that you can't get for free? Or, better yet, tell me how I can get it.

I love the Character Builder and DDI, but I still like reading the books. I get "feel" for a class better seeing the powers laid out.

This... and I hate sitting in a comfortable chair with a hot laptop on my thigh versus a cool book.

So, I was looking through the "campaign settings" tab and found this little gem: There is a preview of the Eberron Player's. It's only one thing, an at-will power for the Artificier called Magic Weapon. I've looked through the Compendium and it's not there. The link in CB to the Compendium for that power doesn't work either.

Argh! I removed the old version of the demo and downloaded the new one. Which just sat there and did nothing. And I did this 5 or 6 times. Somethings not right, any ideas?

I'm not sure, but I don't think that's new to this update. I vaguely remember seeing mention of it a month or so ago, where someone was happy their human artificer actually could have a third at-will.

I believe it has been there a while. I remember speculation that they added it so humans could be artificers, and have it make sense.

I know this has been asked and asked, but I can't find the answer. Anyone figure out how to copy and paste from Firefox and keep the formatting from the compendium?

Someday I'll even figure out tabbed browsing....
