D&D 3E/3.5 Eberron - Changes between 3.5e and 4e

Can anybody list some major lore changes between the two versions of Eberron as a result of the modified planes and all? 'Far Realm' and 'Shadowfell' etc? Like, how does the Shadowfell interact with Dolurrh? Stuff like that.

Or any lore changes in general you know of betwixt versions.

Pretty much no change, the planes of 3e eberron still exist, now we have two planar models to argue over.

dolurrh= shadow fell
thelanis= fey wild

Astral sea is syberis many old school planes are realms in this

Elemental Chaos is Khyber (deeper than underdark bit) the rest of the planes are areas here.

The original thirteen still orbit in the normal manner.

Try reading pages 259 thru 263 in the Eberron Campaign Guide. It should answer your questions for you.

Mhm, one difference is that they orbit at the speed of plot in 4e.

Nothing's preventing anyone from keeping the 3e cosmology the same, though.

While 3rd ed orbit times were listed, they started at a point in the orbit as determined by plot. Not much change there really ;)

the only major differences between 4E and 3.5 are additions, not subtractions.

Add Baator, Eladrin/Feyspires, Dragonborn, etc

Also the planes work exactly the same as they did before, but also have an additional model to view them in addition to the orrery model.

The -other- big change is that dragonmarks that are just like the 12 houses' can appear on other races very rarely.

They DO get treated like aberrant marks tho. So really, they could just be that.
