Wow, i... i like that. I didn't expect that.

"Well, on the bright side, they are orphan zombies, so nobody's gonna miss them. "

And i love the banter, i really do.

I'm not really much into the banter...maybe it's just me.

It appears they have a Dwarf Cleric (or Paladin, It looks like he has an Axe, unless he took a weapon proficiency to get it, Dwarves get Hammers, not axes), Halfling Rogue, Human Fighter, Elf Ranger (Two weapons, though I suppose he could simply just want to wield two weapons and get's a +1 dmg with two weapon fighting...OR he could be using Martial Power?), and a Tiefling Warlock (but what is the wierd wing on her back?)

The dwarf is a paladin of Moradin. And the Elf ranger is equally adept with a bow or two weapons. He seems to be wielding two handaxes, so I don't think he'd need to be a TW Ranger.

As for the wingy thingy, that's the tip of her staff.

I, for one, also like the banter. D&D comics fail for me by being too serious. Reminds me of the banter and one-liners from my D&D groups of yore. Kudos to all involved in this comic.

I enjoyed it. It's not my favorite art style (corset sorceress is cheesecakey, and I'm not a fan of the "show the character moving in three poses in the same panel" technique), but it gets the job done.

I'd need to see where they're going with it. As a general rule, I think it's a bad idea to introduce 5 characters in one scene, though.

I like the art (I give an 8 out of 10), and I think Andrea diVito draws the characters with correct anatomy (something far rarer than you'd expect), even if they have superheroic proportions (that goes with the territory of comics). I think he did the black dragon a bit too large in #0, though.

The dialogue is the preview is fast, genuinely funny and very non-overserious (which has plague D&D is most media). At the moment, I could care less about the mission, but the characters have won me.

I think it's a bad idea to introduce characters period. Most pilots (since I think comic books and TV share some similar tropes) are terrible. I rarely judge something on its first episode. I prefer British shows that just jump into the action (or comedy) and let you figure out who everybody is as the show progresses. I think that would have worked better than the stereotypical banter we see in the new D&D comic. ("Hey dwarf, you're ugly!" "Hi, I'm a halfling, I'll be your comic relief." "Aren't I a snooty elf?")
