They seem to have some good talent brought together in here, and it is interesting to see harrison ford in an atypical role

... but the concept seems way, way out there! I wonder what the elevator pitch for this movie was?

I'm not sure the elevator pitch needed to be anything more than the title. If I had money, I'd have bankrolled it on that alone.

(Plus, it's based on a graphic novel. I have no idea how well said GN did, but if it was at all well, that could have played a part.)

The trailer looked great and people were reacting really well to it...until the title of the movie came up at the end of the trailer. There was this collective groan and numerous comments were made about how terrible the title was. I assumed with this title it must be a comic book/graphic novel thing. I do look forward to seeing it.

IMO, while it's a sort of dumb title, it's also sorta catchy. Probably not much else can be said about it.

That remark sounds very reminiscent of Samuel Jackson jumping straight into a certain movie about ophidians aboard an aircraft based solely on its unsubtle title.

Except they paid him to do it.

From what I've read in reviews, everyone in the movie plays it very straight. It's very much a western...or what characters in a real western would do if faced with Aliens. The reviews all seem to be really good. I can't imagine either one of these actors (Ford or Craig) would have done the movie if it was cheesy. The trailer definitely looks quite serious. It looks a like True Grit meets War of the Worlds.

I saw this trailer in front of Harry Potter last weekend and I can report that the entire audience LOL'd at the title. I was a little surprised, to be honest.

I already knew about this movie before seeing the trailer, for what it's worth.
