Not a surprise at all, given the abysmal ratings.
It's a shame, because the last few episodes have been decent, and showed promise for further decency. Perhaps that's damning with faint praise, but I wouldn't call the show great. Still, the writers seemed to have gotten their act together, finding their tone a little better and more consistently, especially with regards to some of the characters. The only real problem was that it was too little, too late. The quality of these last few episodes should have been the quality of the entire first season. Ah well.
