Wunderbar! T-minus 2 weeks (or less) for the next little one to come so I expect posting to be quite slow in October.

I'm leaving for a last minute trip to New Orleans tomorrow evening. I should still have internet access, so posting won't be a problem. What I won't have, however, is the means to create a map or keep track of any sort of combat, so that part will have to wait until I get back.

Hopefully by then I'll have a map of Hania I can show you. I've hit up the folks at the Cartographer's Guild that we interested in digging into the CWBP, but apparently they're not as interested as they thought they were....

A couple people have taken up the Hania challenge, so we should have a map pretty quick.

Would I be correct in assuming that we've lost a healer again? Haven't heard anything from Theroc in quite some time.

That leaves:

For clarification, the actual setting isn't mine, per se. I did create the Witchlight Strand, but as part of the Cooperative World-Building Project. So technically the setting belongs to the group--a group that Shayuri will essentially be a part of after the writing (and one that will thoroughly welcome said writing).

I would absolutely LOVE to post the story simultaneously on the Cartographers' Guild in the CWBP forums. That, however, is completely up to Shayuri--it'll get posted wherever you want; it's your story (but don't think I won't at least post a link! ).

As far as my NPCs go, you have full creative control. Interject whatever thoughts and motivations you see fit. A very few of the characters and places introduced already have pictures and brief backgrounds that might prove useful (namely Deson Voss, The Wyvern's Nest tavern, andone of the leaders you guys talked to before you started out on this quest (can't remember his name at the moment)).

Personally, I'm giddy at the thought of seeing what you've come up with.

Oh, on a side note: Since we haven't heard from Theroc, I can only assume we're down a leader. Again. Thoughts? Renau1g, you still interested in playing again?

I too look forward to seeing this in story mode. Hopefully we can also do some C&C (non binding and friendly only, of course) keeping in mind the author has complete control. I found the Story Hour section and have a much better idea of what it means, and am quite cool with this.

As for the Healers, I know that Vatan can be a bit ...... "rough" around the edges, but I didn't think he was THAT bad. He will make sure to bathe at least once a week (needed or not) and comb his beard occasionally for the next one...He also hopes that another fighter type shows up soon too...He was not built as a stand-up fighter, more the mobile type....

One of the reasons I took so long a break was to give me time to step back and take a look at the story, and make adjustments as needed. It appears that, in that time, we might have lost Pier as well as a healer.

While I hope that Mid returns, I will open up recruitment for a leader very soon, plus one additional PC. That'll give us 6 if Mid returns, and 5 if he doesn't.

I'd like to tell you that I'll try not to take such long breaks in the future, but as those who have gamed with me for any length of time can attest, I'd likely be lying if I did. But I'd rather take a break and come back than kill the game all together.

Any thoughts on recruitment?

Works for me... Stat it up and jump in when you're ready. I think I'm still going to recruit one more though.
