I Don’t Care What WotC is Doing
Are fortune cards a sign of the Antichrist or just good clean fun? I I don’t care; I don’t use 4e ad-ons.
Will classic 4e get future support, or is it all 4.E from here on out? I don’t care; I have enough 4e material to last me a long long time.
What’s WotC giving us this year? I don’t care, maybe it’ll be worth talking about when I see it.
What’s with the online character builder? I don’t care; I don’t need software to do things for me.
Will we ever see D&D minis again? I don’t care; I don’t buy randomized merchandise.
Is PF doing better than 4e? How's Exalted and White Wolf doing? Where's Trailblazer and E6 on the chart? I don't care, because I know what I like.
Is 5e on the horizon? I don’t care; whether I stick with 4e or switch to 5e I’ll have fun playing.
What’s with Dungeon and Dragon Mag content? I didn’t care when Paizo wrote ‘em, and I don’t care now.
What’s with WotC’s confused PR? I don’t even read newspapers; why would I read this?
What coulda woulda shoulda WotC done to make 4e more popular? You guessed it--I don’t care.
What do I care about? I care about a lot o’ things, like why am I the only high-level DM I know? Why do some gamers say “I like random traits,” but never think to roll for skills, feats, etc? Is Jackson really directing the Hobbit, or was that news just another temporary news blip? Why is English the go-to accent for any foreign ancient Hollywood character? Why do the words scissor, muscle and scimitar need both Cs and Ss? How did MTV and VH1 both go from music videos to brainbleaching reality cr@p? What’s the practical difference between the U.S.’s electoral college system and European nations’ parliamentary system?
Also, AIDS. That’s a truly scary phenomenon, and worth worrying about.
