Why isn't this an RPG?

So, I was flipping through my copy of BESM d20 the other day and suddenly got struck with an idea. What video games/tv/movies would make good games for a d20 system? So I set out to see what I could come up with for, in my opinion, the one I'd most be interested in playing. The result?

Where In (insert word here) Is Carmen SanDiego?

Remember these games? Or the two game shows? How about the short lived cartoon?

I even came up with...

Many, many times, ACME Detectives of all levels had dedicated themselves to solving the most confusing and outrageous crimes ever. Until that fateful day that she, the best agent ACME had ever known, spurned all she had worked for and founded her own criminal organization. Since that day she had vexed ACME. Traveling around the World, nabbing this or that seemingly random artifact or historical trinket. ACME always recovered the goods, even caught her henchmen, but rarely did they catch this master Detective/Criminal. Those few times someone was lucky enough to capture her, she was loose before the week was out.

Now, things were different. ACME and VILE both suffered a major blow when a bomb planted by an assumed third party exploded, killing ACME's legendary Chief, who was escorting the equally legendary Master Thief, Carmen SanDiego, to court. The Agency plunged into chaos, as unbeknownst to ACME, a couple of associates of Carmen SanDiego had infiltrated ACME and had taken advantage of the assassination to effectively destroy ACME from within. With all signs pointing to the demise of both The Chief and Carmen SanDiego, the remaining few young, untested Gumshoes of ACME gather in a warehouse in Baltimore, Maryland. They are called there by a mysterious voice over their ACME Communicators. Their mission to disrupt the efforts of the late Master Thief and her organization go on hold as ACME faces it's toughest mission ever. You are one of the few, the Gumshoes who continue to serve the cause you believe in. A cause that calls you to face the greatest mystery the World has ever seen...

Who Killed Carmen SanDiego?

What would you like to see become a paper and pencil RPG?

With all the other TV properties that have been adapted, I'm surprised we haven't seen a Burn Notice rpg.

Or, for those of us who remember the early days of computer gaming, what about a King's Quest rpg?

Earth Reborn is a board game. My buddy sent me the background/scenario book before we tried playing it to get a sense of the backstory. My first thought while reading it was that it'd make a great post-apocalyptic RPG.

(I won't spam this thread with my usual request for a Mass Effect RPG :)).

Yep, that was one of my first thoughts, when I played the first part... why is there no PnP RPG of this, yet?

Still, while it technically is an RPG already (computer RPG), it would be absolutely perfect for a pen-and-paper RPG (and yeah, I know there are some fan conversions for Savage Worlds, d6, etc). :D

Seconded. The squad-based nature of the missions is perfect for adaptation to RPG combat, and it'd be easy to expand the behind-the-scenes plotlines.

I actually considered doing an X-COM adaptation in Eberron back in the 3.5e days, making it a Daelkyri invasion via airships flying up out of sinkholes opening into the depths of Khyber. I'd have done it if only there were some local gamers who were familiar with both settings.

I'd like to see something similar to Ars Magica in that all of the players have multiple characters. You've got your grunt who is just trying to survive the next mission. Then you've got your high-level guy who is meeting with the leaders of various nations, trying to get funding, making strategic plans, etc.

Flash Gordon, Thundarr, and Masters of the Universe. In all three, you've got a wide variety of races, science fiction, and magic. And I'd love a Planet of the Apes rpg.
