OOC: [MENTION=85539]Tenchuu[/MENTION] I didn't see a roll for healing for Rocco. Does he get more than just a heal surge

The heroes down 2 more foes as the dust clears from the blast. Nemnetah organizes the defensives as the dragon comes closer. Lerrick, now conscious, moves off the alter and stands behind the clerics with her wolf next to her.

Meanwhile, the leader, ignoring the on coming dwarf, moves to the opening of the mouth of the cave in order to greet the huge black winged beast now landing in front of him. Fear oozes from him as he visiblely shakes while in the presence of the gigantic dragon. The heroes who see the massive black dragon have never seen one that big, the head of which is much larger than the dragon heads mounted in the tavern back in Daunton.

The dragon waist no time as he communicates in dragon tongue to the leader.

[sblock=draconic]
Bosch: Where is the marked one? I come for her now. I trust that everything is in order?

Leader: My lord, there has been a complication. She is in that room which is currnetly being guarded by them (pointing to Skalisss and the others).
[/sblock]

The party sees the the dragon communicating to the leader. The leader points to the door guarded by them. The large dragon glares at you, but then moves his attention back to the leader and continues to speak to him.

[sblock=draconic]
Bosch: I do not sense the presence of the marked one in there.

Leader: She is in there my liege! My comrades saw her! She is in the with the cleric you mentioned. As we were fighting to reach them there was a huge blast...

Bosch: WHAT DID YOU SAY!

Leader: There was a bla..

Bosch: YOU FOOL! The cleric has removed the mark! YOU WERE TOO LATE! The girl can no longer be sacrificed. I should have listened to Vlastoes and sent him instead. He is now my number one as you have failed me for the last time!

Leader: Noooooo....
[/sblock]

As the conversation between the mighty dragon and the leader continued, it was clear that the dragon was becoming angry. The dragon grabs the leader and bites him in two, then throws the lower half of the leader against a column of rock in the cave while spitting out the upper torso, which lands next to Rocco.

He then scans the area at the foes in front of him.
It is not wise to interfere with Lord Bosch and his sacrifice. He then starts to move towards the group gathered by the entrance. It is clear that there is a look of pure anger and hate in his eyes.

At the mention of Vlastos...a memory hits you like a hammer... Can it be the same Vlastos you adventured with not too long ago...A wizard you recall. Himmmm...only time will tell.

Rocco bows to the mighty creature
"Oh, but we didn't, mighty dragon. All we did is escort the girl. It was your lieutenants that failed. You see, they made a mistake of attacking us. Just like you do now! My lady Peresefa will take me for calling for her name aloud. Or she will accept you as suitable sacrifice! BEGONE FOUL THING BEFORE I TAKE YOUR HIDE!"

Rocco's manner changes from supplicants to brash to outright crazy as he rings his dagger against the axe and calls upon The Queen of the Dead and enters the dragon private space so he could shout into his face.

OOC: would like to get adjacent and mark the beast (but if this doesn't count as the attack, I still have Kirre's Roar (which conveniently provides resist all in case the dragon attacks :) and marks) - also, ready brash strike if the dragon moves to attack

"That one will get us all killed. We think the dragon just wanted to scare us off and leave. Now we are not so sure." whispers Nementah to the group.

She calls primera off and then again back next to the dwarf.

"I gave my word to protect the girl. If we slow it down, perhaps at least she and the clerics can make it back to the portal."

Quan only shows determination in the face of the dragon.

Brother Buchta squints his eyes towards the massive dragon, focussing not on the beast as a whole, but at the amulet that hangs from the Bosch's neck. No...it cannot be! He turns to the Nementah. I know not where he found that item. It...it is...the Amulet of the Shadows...The one who possesses it becomes... nearly invincible! Please tell your comrades to fall back. If we somehow survive this... The cleric's voice trails off. Hurry!

"Rocco, Halleck, fall back NOW! We've got a situation!"

Nementah hopes Rocco has enough sense left in him to listen to the girl he already adventured with.

"Right! We have a huge dragon bent on our deaths! I hope you know what you're doing!"

Rocco disengages the dragon and returns toward the party being careful not to leave Halleck behind.

OOC: shift back and move toward the group, waiting for Halleck to move first.
