CONSTANTINE: Human Battle Sorc/Cleric (Healing & War domains)/Mystic Theurge

Stats: max your Cha, prioritize Wis, Str, etc. to taste.

Weapon: Longsword (Magical), Flail (Magical), Hvy Crossbow

Armor: Mithril Breastplate (or heavier, if a Battle Caster) & Shield (both magical)

Feats: infernal Sorcerer Heritage (Human Bonus), Weapon Proficiency: Longsword (Domain bonus), Weapon Focus: Longsword (Domain bonus), infernal Sorcerer Howl, Extra Turning, Sacred Healing (CompDiv version*) and either Battle Caster or Extend Spell

Load up on buff & utility spells- channel the arcane ones for AoE howls when you need to.

Use your Sacred Healing to take care of the entire party's hurts all at once- actually Turning Undead is a crutch!

* I've asked WotC CustServ several times: the Sacred Healing Feat in PHB II was not intended to replace the one from CompDiv; nobody caught there was a previous feat with the same name.

Looking for general, not too complicated? just race/class/alignment specifics? If your DM lets you decide where every skill point goes then you can make some very ridiculous things. but I've never had a DM and simply "let me" XD

Dunno what role you want. here is a few ideas that I've played around with.

Red wizard. if you have another caster, or access to other wizards then circle magic can be a major asset.
Also, I personally, much to my disliking, find necromancy somewhat sucking. BUT if you want you could use the skeleton minion and enhanced undead options in the unearthed arcana to effectively gain another body. in this case a expendable but easily renewable equal hd skeleton tank/fodder.

Grey elf, or anything else you might find with a bonus to int and no LA, assassin.
Starting off with a 20 int. I would say do 3 levels swashbuckler, 2 anything with hide/move silent, then 5 levels of assassin.
give him a +int item and right there you have a 20-23 dc death attack. Thats enough to start combats by ending, on average, equal HD combatants. Failing that you still have a skill monkey to fill in gaps.
If you can buy off LA I would say try for a blue goblin.

Need a tank? I would say either a knight/Dwarven defender or ogre knight. Knights are just good tanks, d12 HP, heavy armor, Armor perks, more AC to shields blablabla.
Going with a basic race obviously means more class levels, which is great and all, but going with a large monster can be awesome.
You threaten more squares, awesome for the bulwark ability at level 4. give him combat reflexes and the party behind him, then play Thermopylae. that said you do take a hit on hp, cha, and Ba from the monster levels and you have a +2 LA. BUUUTTT, the image of a ogre in shining plate and adhering to a Knightly code of chivalry is simply fantastic.

Dunno, just some ideas.

I strongly recommend the Dwarven Defender. Nothing is more helpful than a minion who can root himself to the ground as a class feature to protect you from harm.

Darathin if your after undead improvement check dragon 312 page 37, it has some feats which you may find useful

Sorry for the kinda off topic post by the way.

Not looking for anything specific, just trying to see all the interesting ideas and options out there.
Ok, then I'll stand by my Focus Specialist Transmutation Wizard 5/War Weaver 5. Really good buff spells for the entire party.

Artificer's who stock the party with gear and items rock too.

If a monks unarmed attacks are treated as a natural weapon then does that grant them access to the thayen gladiator prestige?
Or would the wording of "treated" vs "considered" come into play?
