Upcoming Adventure Review

Thanks, Mowgli.

I have one definite recruit (Mfloyd3) and he is going to be assisting in my recruiting for IC reasons. Planning to take 4 players (maybe 5 depending on things), level 4 or 5, but APL should be closer to 4. I might be persuaded to take a level 3 character or two, particularly if I take 5 players.

Forge of Fury: Part 1 - The Mountain Door
Type: Medium adventure dungeon crawl, part 1 of many.
Adventurers: 4-5 Adventurers from 4th level, advancing to 6th or 7th, maybe even 8th depending on TBX.

Anyone reading this thread and eligible, please PM me if you wish to play. I may not be recruiting in the traditional manner in the DWI.

Hello all.

I have returned from a lengthy hiatus and would love to get involved again.

Before I left I submitted and was approved for my adventure "Waking the Dead". I'd still love to run this game but I no longer have the source files. Is there any chance any of the judges still have a copy of this?

If not, I guess I'll have to start writing some new ones. I like being a PC but I much prefer running games.

Ya, it was more than a year ago. I was just hoping. The last correspondence I had on it I think was from HolyMan. I'll see what I can do about writing some new ones.

I'm still looking for feedback on Blackbrick - I need a little more info before I can shape it up into an approval-ready state. Feel free to suggest ideas, ask me questions about my intent, or otherwise discuss it in this thread. Referring to things in vague terms is spoiler-free enough for me.

dammitbiscuit; We discussed the idea among the Judges and the idea is pretty ambitious, but something that would benefit LPF overall with proper support. Particularly if multiple DMs would also want to use it as a backdrop for adventures.

However, as an overarching proposal, it cannot be approved as you submitted it. You will need to pick a series of encounters tailored to a set number of characters and APL. I recommend looking at who is available in the DWI and in need of an adventure.

Your actual proposal needs to look something like this:

Most important, the Judge reviewing it will need a breakdown of the encounters with expected treasure. It doesn't have to be linear and can have sections the party avoids, but in the end the XP and Treasure needs to be balanced.

I recommend taking a look at this post if you need help on designing a series of encounters:

In the end, the proposal will need to be flushed out enough for a Judge to resume or be able to manufacture an exit strategy in the unlikely event you happen to disappear and leave the players hanging.

I don't know precisely what you are talking about, but after this adventure, I'm ready to leave the Silver Road to others and let it fly on it's own, so I might be able to help support something else.
