Now in the Cleric section, it states the cleric may lose any prepared spell that is not an orison or a domain in order to spontaneously cast a cure spell. Does this work by losing a wizard spell?
Nope. Wizard spells are not granted by the deity - so they cannot be spontaneously converted.
At least, that's what a stick-up-his-butt DM would say.![]()
But it says in the description. . .
A good cleric (or a neutral cleric of a good deity) can channel stored spell energy into healing spells that the cleric did not prepare ahead of time. The cleric can "lose" any prepared spell that is not a domain spell in order to cast any cure spell of the same spell level or lower (a cure spell is any spell with "cure" in its name).
*yawn*
Go for the spirit of the words, not the technicality of them. Of course they can't channel a non-cleric spell. Any DM that allows it is either generous or not worried too too much about balance.
I would say no.
