D&D 5E Which Dragon should I choose?

I'm currently designing a possible mercenary organization/army for hire that I'm calling the Dragonblood Conclave for a possible campaign setting. The basic idea is that they only employ people with some sort of Draconic Ancestry, Dragonborn, Kobolds, Half-Dragons, Draconic Bloodline Sorcerers, and possibly Lizardfolk (I'm thinking of giving them an ancient connection to dragons.)

I'm planning on having the founder and "secret leader" of the conclave be a dragon of some sort. I was thinking Bronze, but I'm not exactly sure that fits quite right. Unfortunately, Silvers, Brasses, and Coppers aren't really the warrior type, and I don't really see Golds being arrogantly prejudice enough to only employ humanoid dragons, and they're not really the "mercenary" type. While they are supposed to be mercenaries, I kinda planned on having them them fighting on the side of good more often than not, so a chromatic dragon wouldn't really fit. I've considered a crystal dragon, but I only got into DnD with 5e, so I don't really know anything about them, or where to find lore and 5e stats for them.

I'm open to arguments for any of the colors of dragon, and if someone could point me towards info on crystal dragons, that would be greatly appreciated.

Silver are probably the most zealots of the dragons. They enjoy fighting the most and are the ones most likely to do something like this.

Even if the campaign was evil, I'd still put a Blue or Green dragon ahead of Red, because they have the patience to actually create something like that.
