Pathfinder 2E Pathfinder 2nd Edition

"Deluxe hardcover with foil-debossed faux-leather cover and ribbon bookmark."

...for a playtest book.

Paizo's not even trying to hide the cash grab.
Keep in mind, this is a limited run book. It will only be useful for twelve or so months. And most people will just opt for the PDF.
It might as well be a deluxe collectable.

It clearly is collector stuff.

Anyway, I like Pathfinder from the time I've read, but there could be some improvements. This new edition sparks my interest, but I'll wait the full release. Bad memories from D&D "Next"...

Huh? Dhaunae's company is the Sapnish publishing of PF? I thought they're doing only WoD. Or is it anothe Devir?

I am talking about Devir Iberia. WoD in Spanish is being published by Nosolorol with the help of "Biblioteca Oscura" (Dark Library). In the past Devir Iberia published the Spanish-languange translations of Dungeons & Dragons (3rd and 4th Ed) (a lot of littles more, now it mainly pathfinder modules, the rest of sourcebooks are too slowly, for example this last week was published the ultimate combat, and they don't want to publish the bestiary 3. Today D&D 5th Ed is being published by Edge Entertaiment, what has got links with Fantasy Flight Games.

Yeah, it’s a weird myth. No human being has ever felt they can’t run a game with just the core rules.

I've read this a few times and I can't figure out if it is sarcasm or not. I don't think it is. However, I honestly think when you're running a RPG, especially one like Pathfinder with a massive amount of splatbooks, there is an expectation that you'll be allowing players to use options from beyond the core rulebooks.

Can you run Pathfinder with just the core rules? Absolutely.

Are you likely to be pressured by your players to allow material from outside the core rules? Very likely, especially in a game where much of the appeal is the additional crunch and customisation provided by the splatbooks.
