D&D General Fantasy cannibalism, a theoretical philosophy discussion

Coroc

Hero
Vecna isn't a corpse, he's a liche. I'm sure there's a deep ontological argument to made there, but I'm really just rolling with common usage. From a utilitarian standpoint we're really just talking about the difference between jerky and steak, but there you go.
Nethack (Rogue) anyone?

You eat the corpse of Vecna - More- You have a hard time getting it all down - More - You feel seriously ill - More - You die of food poisoning.

Coroc-B died on level 47 of the dungeon, killed by a tainted corpse of Vecna

So, many primitive peoples believed you could gain a hero's power by eating part of his body. This sounds like a type of necromancy to me, anyone have a hot take on cannibal magic?

The real question is: can you the correct amount of troll to never have to eat again? Too little and stomach acid will stop regen. Too little and it's Alien's but with a troll.

I would advise strongly against troll tartare. Well done is the only way. Tenderize in pineapple before charring wash it down with a strong red wine.

Grain fed and killed by fire then dry aged troll. It’s the wagyu of the monster world.
