Level Up (A5E) A "Quick" Character Generation Sheet

Here's a concept for a Character Generation Sheet that logically flows from top to bottom and left to right to help people create characters the old fashioned way on paper faster than more aesthetically pleasing character sheets (not that this couldn't be prettied up). The attached pdf is based on the 5E PHB and included Character Template. What do you guys think?

Well, part of having all the space is so stuff is easier to find, plus there's plenty of room for note-taking and erasing repetitiously as players are wont to do, @tetrasodium .

Good point on note taking :D
edit: but it goes beyond that towards an extra page or two baked in for note taking

I think it would work better as a simple step-by-step guide to be used in tandem with a character sheet, rather than a fill-in form of its own. At least for myself, I'd much rather write things once than twice.

E.g.:
1. Roll ability scores (page #s)
2. Select Race (page #s)
3. Select Background (page #s)
etc.

You shouldn't have to write things down more than once. Concerning the 'pp/#' in Background: That's saying just to write the page you find the option on and the reference number for the ideal/bond/flaw/ etc you pick.

I applaud the concept but IMO a character sheet shouldn't be more than two pages. I understand you have a lot of space for notes, but personally I don't want to have a booklet for my character.

I am sure you'll find others more positive, so I'll leave it at that and wish you luck on any revisions, etc. and feedback you get. :)

So is this meant to be an alternate character sheet then? I'm not understanding why we would need a 6 page document if we weren't intended to write on it, but I don't know anyone who would use a 6-page sheet when they have a 2-page option instead.

Okay, how might I fit all this info on two pages without it feeling cramped? I even took out stuff one would just copy verbatim from the PHB. I guess I'll take it as a challenge!

I can make everything closer together and in smaller font along with removing two of the inventory sheets I put in for good measure. I just thought the mock-up for a standard 5e PHB would inspire someone to make an easier to navigate character sheet for the A5E book.
