D&D 5E New D&D Hardcover To Be Announced On The 23rd (Tomorrow)?

According to this page on Amazon.com, a new Dungeon & Dragons hardcover title for May will be announced tomorrow. Users in the US see the product below (those in the UK are seeing a Wizkids miniatures set instead).

So far signs look like Ravenloft, but we’ll know for sure tomorrow.

Disappointed. I don,t care for Ravenloft. More money for new Green Ronin Age books.

So a Ravenloft setting book, or something more along the lines of Mordenkainen's Tome of Foes? Guessing more like the later.

Maybe a Van Richten’s Guide to Ravenloft or the Undead or some such.

Kind of yes. Not like most of the 3.5 & 5e setting books, but there was one or two ravenloft campaign setting books & spinoff splatbooks. It focused largely on things like The Dark Powers(strahd is not one, he is even more a victim of them than the PCs), how verbal curses could manifest, how a lot of spells were changed, how the bond between divine casters & their divine power source was twisted, how that twisting affected divine casters & other things, etc. Plus there was a few pages on ravnloft specific faiths. The various ravenloft adventures themselves slotted within the confines of that minor system refluff.

but couldn't find it on dmsguild. Pretty sureit had more than one cover & maybe got rewritten with extra stuff.

Which one is it? The 2e versions had a lot in them on the various lands while the 3e and 3.5 were more generic horror sourcebooks and the different lands and their lords were detailed in splat books because it was white Wolf and they love their splats.

This looks like a trial run to me. WotC working out what the best release model for the old classic settings is, and sensibly starting with one of the easier ones.

It's the same format as every released 5e setting. They've already publicly committed to multiple classic settings. I think we are past the trial run stage.

Its a little different than what we have seen before. Have we ever had a book with everything...setting, player stuff, dm stuff, and an adventure?

There was the original Expert Set. Its like that, but 5E and Ravenloft, and a book and not a box set.

It's not quite the same as previous setting books, as those didn't have an equivalent section comparable to this one's "run your own gothic horror games" section.
