Looking forward to this. I'm not watching the game anymore, but the series is covering exactly the parts of season 1 I found most enjoyable, so it'll be nice to revisit those.

I'm the same way. I Loved the first season of Critical Role (where this is coming from), the pacing, the player interaction - the whole vibe really. But I find, I can't get into the 2nd or the current season, even when I have time to listen/watch it.

Looks funny. Kind of wish we could get a semi-serious show/movie, but thats never going to happen. It is a GAME after all...
It's also based on a comedic show.
Sounds like it has lots of language and extreme violence.

So...definitely not something parents will want their kids (and maybe even not teens depending on the parents) watching.

Not really made to appeal to those over 35 (though there will be those that age and older who it WILL appeal to, don't get me wrong, just not the audience they are wanting) as it sounds (the trailer) actually written for kids (but see the above).

My best guess is they are aiming for college age?

Rated M?
I'm over 35 nd I still like awesome and fun things. They don't send guys around to take that away from you once you hit 30 (anymore).

It’s based on a game played by adults. It’s based on a game where the primary mode of play is murdering your way to fortune and glory. So…

Meh.

Cartoons can be made for adults. This is one of them.

They’re aiming for fans of D&D, Critical Role, and anime.

I think they want the show to reflect the stream - and "serious" doesn't really work for that!

But more than that, are there any good "serious" translations of games to movie or series format? The ones I've seen that work are very willing to poke fun at the game/inject levity as opposed to try to take it completely straight.
