MVP had a blurb about it:
All pre-order allocations are finally confirmed and they are very large; we haven't seen these types of numbers since Dominaria and Ikoria, more than doubling recent sets for many SKUs. Add to that the accidental or intentional leak last week of a few collector packs that coincidentally did not include any of the supposed earth-shaking cards that are going to be in the set. Lastly are the multiple confirmations from Wizards that they over-powered this set like Modern Horizons or CL1 (which had Jeweled Lotus). i.e. Wizards is expecting this set to have extremely high demand. Also of note is that Wizards has directly stated they will be aggressively reprinting all CL2 SKUs as fast as needed, except for Collectors boosters which they again confirmed will be a one-time print. However in that same breath they have repeatedly noted that they printed a lot more CL2 collectors than CL1
I think people are rushing to buy anything because of what happened last time to CL1 collectors boxes. But if you're happy with the price go for it. As mentioned MVP had it for $110 CHEAPER than this. I think there's going to be prices points in the middle but people can do what they want."
So for alot of CLB products like Collector Boosters, they have doubled what they usually print because they expect the demand to be high (given that if MVP is right they filled it with chase cards, that shouldn't surprise anyone).
Apparently MVP sold out of their first allocation of CLB, which to be fair was priced lower then anyone because they called in some favours to get it cheaper or something, and had to get some more to sell, not as cheap, but cheaper then Amazon still.
Part of why the Collector Boosters are selling so well is because CB1 sold so well, but CL1 had half the Collector Boosters Boxes of CLB.
So so far sales are already high I believe.
Also remember there is only 1 printing of Collector Boosters, but they plan to crank out all they can of other product as long as there is demand.
