Nothing too ground breaking here. I'm wondering how the movie will do? Probably more fun to try and predict if it will be successful and push the trend up, or suck and pull the trend down?

Gratuitously bothering you over the typo: No, D&D is not squeezing livers out of waterfowl. Which is kind of surprising considering how earlier version outright encourage harvesting everything up to and including sapient beings for body parts.

There should be a potion based around the dish you have to eat wearing a hood so as to hide what you're doing from the eyes of god.

Anecdotal evidence, to be sure, but I took my (teen) daughters to Books-a-Million about a week ago, just to have something fun to do (college town), and the amount of D&D (there's your ampersand ;) ) licensed products was equal if not greater than the number of actual D&D books. I saw someone here say a few weeks ago that Hasbro is trying to turn D&D into a lifestyle brand, and I have to say that in my experience that seems to be the case. That's not really indicative of a property that is gaining new customers, but of an attempt to capture people on the periphery.

Again, this is my experience and my opinion only, not representative of any hard truth or reality.

This video seems like extremely unserious clickbait. Spending 5 minutes speculating about a single data point that it took a minute to not actually explain? Just grist for the endless content mill.

A drop or plateau in searches can mean, among other things, that people are finding out about a thing without having to do a super-beginner, bad-at-internet general Google search. Do people who want to know about the next Marvel movie punch "MCU" into Google and let'er rip?

Stupid video premise is stupid.
