Copies of Spelljammer are starting to show up. Mike Long of Tribality is in receipt of the books and has tweeted some photos!

Hmm. Maybe there could be something like the Cosmere's Cognitive Realm going on? Where, due to Space being so big and empty, it kind of opens up the Material Plane and causes the Astral Plane to peak through?

I speculate, it is gravity that anchors the astral to the material world.

So, about the threshold where orbits around the gravity of the sun, where the centrifugal force would cause the orbiter to fly off away from the sun, is also where astral wildspace ends, and the fully astral sea begins.



Gravitational force seeming a factor, suggests the immaterial forces of the ethereal plane are likewise a factor.

So in the process of astral thought "creating" and "forming" the material plane, there is a continuum, roughly a Renaissance great chain of being.

astral thought → ethereal force → material matter

Note that "force" is weird because it is both physical and immaterial.
