Glad to know that if its legal, some people really are ok with armed men bullying your wife and loved ones during a home invasion to scare you from leaking more pieces of artful cardboard on the internet.
well, now you know, and calling someone knocking on your door and never actually entering a home invasion is a bit of a stretch

And this isn't me exaggerating at all,
no, because all home invasions are just someone standing on your doormat and having a chat with you

at a minimum he does not own the product, because he never bought it
"Possession of a mislabeled purchase" isn't a crime. You seem to want this to be wrong, but can't define what the actual problem is.

If this were a corporation you didn't have any feelings for, one way or another, say a sneaker company that only sells shoes in Australia, do you think you'd be this sure the customer who got a pair of Platypus 2k3s a month early, when he'd purchased a pair of Koala Hightops, was the bad guy?

If only more people cared about their effect on the world, we might not have toy companies threatening women and children over legal card leaks!
they didn't, they talked to the dude and the wife overheard it. Not even the guy was threatened, or at most in the most loose sense of the word, i.e. being made aware of the worst case consequences

Then that is the person to pursue legal remedies against -- criminal or civil.
and they wanted to find out who that was from him

If he thought he was buying a released deck and got the wrong one -- as he has claimed -- then yes, he did buy the cards.
but he did not, for what probably is the 5th time by now. He bought a different set from what was being delivered. Would be nice if you did not keep repeating this

My answer to the OP:

Shrug.

I mean, I certainly agree that there are some extremely biased sources trying to stir up as much stuff as they can and make WotC look as bad as possible (WotC sure ain't helping, or to look at it the other way, they're helping those guys). Do I like WotC? Not particularly (though I like WotC far more than I like Hasbro, for whatever that's worth). Do I "trust" them? Never did.

While I think that they've made some huge mistakes lately, they're just a company gonna company. They're far from the worst thing out there.

But it's pretty easy to separate the honest criticism from the hate-spreaders, so I just do that quickly and move on.
