D&D (2024) Do you think they will add more races to PHB2024 to make up for dropping other stuff?

Not necessarily new, but we need deva back. And it'd be nice if they actually gave aasimar a chance by being core.

Oh, and minotaurs. WotC has about half a dozen cool minotaur cultures in MtG, but can't keep on core to D&D? blasphomy.

I've been saying Aasimar and Genasi, the other two major planetouched races should be core for ages now, but goodness forbid the PHB gets a none emo Planetouched race.

They haven't said, they tried this Ardlings thing, but every one was like that just an Aasimar with an animal head, so just put Aasimar in, but instead they just pulled Ardlings despite it scoring well (like it never occurs to them to provide more interesting lore, because they mechanics in both versions was fine, the first one just needed to be given to the Aasimar and second needed better lore).

Lore restricts player freedom and is hard to write, so it seems that WotC is mostly giving up on it.

Ardlings are just Aasimar with animal heads, you can already choose to have an animal head on your Aasimar.
